Occasional awards pop up too, e.g. “Silver” at the SPOKEN WORD AWARDS (a project for Penguin/Puffin); “Silver” and “Bronze” at the PRACTICAL PRESCHOOL AWARDS (two projects for Walker Books); “Winner” at the SHEFFIELD BABY BOOK AWARDS (a project for Usborne Books) and “Winner/Mainstream” at the INTERNATIONAL TACTILE BOOK AWARDS (another project for Usborne Books). 

The primary music-curriculum resource-scheme “Music Express” published in print and online by A&C Black/Bloomsbury/Collins Music, includes numerous sQuarish backing-tracks arranged by Barry throughout the age-groups, books and digital song-bank - and it’s been finalist in the MUSIC TEACHER AWARDS, EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE AWARDS and BETT AWARDS, as well as winning the TEACH EARLY YEARS AWARD, also a FUTUREBOOK INNOVATION AWARD and “Gold” in the PRIMARY TEACHER AWARDS. 

Another collaboration in the spoken-word-audio field, “Galdo’s Gift” (published by Tapocketa - an innovative “Boovie” narrated by Brian Murphy with voice-direction by Barry) has won in four categories at the international DIGITAL BOOK WORLD AWARDS 2018 (Best Book Overall, Fiction, Children’s and Interactive Fiction) as well as a “Gold Medal” in the MOONBEAM CHILDREN’S BOOK AWARDS.
